Species List

The story will take place in what would be feudal Tokyo, Japan. This is where the human headquarters is stationed, and there will be a genma/devil base of operations nearby(This will be a laboratory of sorts). The genma laboratory is located seven miles south of Tokyo, underground. At this time, Tokyo is mainly surrounded by forested areas, though there are some towns that can be walked to, though it would take several days to get between, unless one has a carriage or horse.



Humans will begin in a small portion of tokyo that has been walled off from the rest of the world by the Devil May Cry Umbrella division. In the center of this settlement is the Devil May Cry main headquarters. The Headquarters is a large building that stands about five stories tall(Because of the architectural flaws of this time period). Humans can either be civilians, or work in the Devil May Cry. However, because this RP is set in feudal times, the organization isn't too connected to their non-tokyo branch.

Half-Devils/genma will start in either one of the starting places, depending on where their allegiance lies. These will be the child of a devil/genma and a human, therefor their abilities will be less than(but more varied) than the devils themselves. For half-devils, think of “Dante” from devil may cry, or Agaha from Onimusha Tactics.

Augmented Humans(Turned into Genma) will begin in the laboratory with the Genma/devils. These beings will have been converted into the beasts themselves, giving them the full abilities of the genma, while sacrificing their humanity(Most likely unwillingly.)

Genma/Devils will begin in a laboratory, most likely where they have been born. This laboratory is run by a devil named "Guildenstern," who is the main scientist for the genma race. They will more than likely be wholly loyal to Fortinbras, though there are always exceptions. Player characters will probably start out as weaker genma, though they'll have the capability of working their way up. Genma's abilities include super strength and agility, though they are no so much that the skill of a true warrior can't stand up to them. The Genma are a diverse race of creatures that come in all manner of hellish forms. Some are naturally occurring phenomena, whereas others have been manufactured by demon scientists, most notably the eminent Guildenstern. Most Genma only follow a basic level of intelligence, with an instinct for death and destruction. However, there are rare breeds of Genma who possess their own cognition and personality.
